What should I do if my PANDORA bracelet is tight?

What should I do if my PANDORA bracelet is tight?

PANDORA bracelets come from the factory stiffer and are less flexible. The longer the bracelet, the more flexible it is. However, if you have enough space for charms, and therefore two fingers fit between your wrist and bracelet, you have chosen the right size. The rigidity of the bracelet will loosen when worn and the bracelet will stretch slightly by 2-4 mm.

If the bracelet is too tight, two fingers do not fit between your wrist and the bracelet, or you simply wear looser bracelets, we will exchange the unworn and undamaged bracelet.

See Return and Exchange for more information.

What is the warranty on the watch? What does the complaint cover and do not cover?

What is the warranty on the watch? What does the complaint cover and do not cover?

According to the Consumer Protection Act, we provide a 24-month warranty on all goods purchased in our e-shop. The warranty covers watch movements and other manufacturing defects on the straps or glass. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage and defects caused by casual wear and improper handling.

Battery

Battery life depends on the movement in which it is used, the battery warranty only guarantees that the consumer can use the battery at any time during the warranty period until the expiration date marked on the packaging. However, it does not define the period of its use.

SOI (Slovak Trade Inspection) statement:

Does the 24-month warranty also apply to batteries and light bulbs?

According to Section 620 of the Civil Code, the warranty period for defects that occur after buying the item is 24 months. According to the interpretation of the Trademark Law, the statutory warranty period cannot be shortened. The defect of a thing is considered to be the non-existence of such a property of the thing, which is generally assumed for a certain type and age, and as a result of which the possibility of using the thing is significantly reduced. It cannot be considered a defect if it follows from the nature of the matter that its service life (function) is limited to a shorter period of use (for example, with a pocket battery). In this case, the warranty ensures that the buyer can use the item at any time during the warranty period, but only for a period that results from the nature of the item or technical standard or which is marked on it as the lifetime (function).

www.soi.sk, section "Frequently asked questions".

Leather straps

Defective sewing of the strap, detachment of glued parts or manufacturing malfunction of the strap can be considered as a manufacturing defect. Straps that are scratched, soiled, or otherwise damaged and degraded, whether by casual wearing or careless handling, are not considered defective goods. Especially with white / pale leather straps, casual wearing will show up faster than on dark ones.

Surface treatment

Gilding and no other surface treatments are covered by the warranty. The surface treatment wears out with casual use and will not be affected by the manufacturers. Wear is affected by several factors, including the aggressiveness of the customer's sweat, the environment in which the watch is located and how it is handled.

Water resistance

There is no guarantee of water resistance, even if the pressure test is positive. It should be noted that the water-resistance of the watch is not lifelong and not in all conditions. A positive water resistance test is only information about the current state.

Service operation

According to the Consumer Protection Act, the service activity is covered by a 3-month warranty. However, if the service involves the replacement of a part, the part is covered by a 24-month warranty (excluding batteries).

Are PANDORA collections compatible with each other?

Are PANDORA collections compatible with each other?

PANDORA offers 3 basic collections of bracelets. Each of them has its own special charms and they are not compatible with each other.

Moments - classic thicker round bracelet

ME - softer and thinner round bracelet

Reflexions - wider and flat bracelet

The fourth type is individual bracelets to which no charms are added.

What is the difference between a clip and a PANDORA separator?

What is the difference between a clip and a PANDORA separator?

In addition to the decorative function, the clip also has a practical function. It is a charm that can be opened and attached to the thread of the bracelet (if the bracelet contains it). The clip on the thread does not move. Thanks to this, you can divide your bracelet into parts in which the charms will move freely. The clip can be attached to the bracelet even out of the thread, but here it will move between the two threads.

The silicone clip can be opened and attached to the bracelet (outside the thread). Thanks to the silicone insert, the clip does not move. It is therefore ideal for leather and solid bracelets or bracelets without threads.

The separator optically separates the other charms and adds balance to the bracelet. It does not stay in a place like a clip but moves like a classic charm. An exception is the separators in the ME collection, which stand in place thanks to the silicone insert.

About the watch

What is the difference between a mechanical, automatic, and quartz watch?

What is the difference between a mechanical, automatic, and quartz watch?

The mechanical watch is not battery-powered. They obtain energy from a stretched spring, which must be stretched mechanically, most often with the help of a clock crown, at approximately 24-hour intervals.

Automatic watches are a newer equivalent of mechanical watches. They also do not use a battery but spring energy. However, they do not require daily stretching when worn regularly. They are equipped with a movable rotor with a weight, which performs this tension automatically with the movement of your hand.

The quartz watch movement is battery-powered.

How do I set the time on my watch?

How do I set the time on my watch?

Most watches are equipped with a crown (rotating mechanism on the side of the clock to set the time), which has several positions depending on the type of movement.

If the watch does not have a date, the crown has one position. Pull the crown out as far as it will go and turn it to adjust the position of the hands for the right time.

If the watch also has a date, the crown has two positions. In the first position (pull a little out) when turning the crown, you set the date. If you have mistakenly rotated the date by a few numbers, continue to spin without worries, the date wreath has 31 numbers and they are repeated. By pulling the crown to the second position (as far out as possible) and turning, you adjust the position of the hands for the correct time.

If your date changes around lunch and not at night, turn the time 12 hours forward.

What to do after breaking the glass clock?

What to do after breaking the glass clock?

If you have managed to break the glass, pull the crown (rotating the time adjustment mechanism) out as soon as possible. In this position, the hands stop. This prevents the hands from tripping over the broken glass, and prevents the hands from being destroyed or bent or the gears in the machine from being deformed.

Is the sapphire crystal scratchy?

Is the sapphire crystal scratchy?

Sapphire is on the hardness scale at number 9, just behind the hardest diamond. However, it can be scratched with harder or as hard material as it is. From the same hard material - corundum, grains are made into abrasive sandpaper. It is during sanding with this paper that corundum grains may inadvertently come into contact with the sapphire crystal.

In most cases, however, it is not a scratched sapphire, but a scratched anti-reflection. An anti-reflective coating that is applied to the glass to absorb bright light and does not have the hardness of sapphire crystal.

Are automatic or quartz watches better?

Are automatic or quartz watches better?

Everyone must find the answer to this question. The decisive factors are price, more consistent and demanding care, accuracy, on the other hand, lasting value, prestige, long-term quality.

It may seem that owning an automatic watch will save you a lot of money on battery replacement. However, the automatic mechanical machine is, at regular intervals about once every 6-7 years, necessary to undergo general service (disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication with new oil). This operation is not easy, so its price is in the hundreds of euros. Quartz machines need a battery change every 1-3 years, depending on the type and age of the machine. The price of battery replacement and possible repairs of the quartz movement is cheaper than with mechanical and automatic watches.

Not even the best and most expensive automatic watches have the accuracy of the quartz movement.

So why is an automatic watch so impressive? Their drive with automatic winding puts them in the segment of classical watchmaking art. The classic watch movement is one of the most amazing inventions and the classic mechanical watch is a small miracle and a work of art.

Advantages of automatic watches:

- greater value of materials used

- with proper care, they can work for more than a hundred years

- greater prestige

- maintaining the value of the watch

Water-resistance - what do the individual labels mean?

Water-resistance - what do the individual labels mean?

Marking in meters does not mean real depth to which you can dive. Sometimes this can be misleading, and many people think that a watch marked "50M" can dive to a depth of 50 meters underwater. But this is not the case!

The universal unit does not apply to water resistance. Most often, you will find the markings in meters or feet of water column height (M, ft) and then in units of pressure in atmospheres and bars (ATM, BAR). It is the pressure that is due to the penetration of water into the bowels of the watch.

The designation "waterproof" in relation to the watch does not correspond to reality. Even the best diving watches are not waterproof in all circumstances.

Water resistance is not lifelong and not in all conditions!
